Carolina Hurricanes – Server Room Cleanup

Cable Concepts recently performed a server room overhaul for Raleigh’s Carolina Hurricanes, whose home is the PNC Arena. The new owners of the Carolina Hurricanes were making improvements and updates to existing facilities and hired Cable Concepts to cleanup and organize their server room.  The project included re-running fiber terminations, re-terminating Category 6 patch panels and patch cables, cross-connecting voice connections, and installing vertical and horizontal cable management to the server racks. We also re-patched in all computers, phones, printers, and fiber connections to switches and routers and brought 24 remote Telco rooms back online.

It was a pleasure to make Carolina Hurricane’s server room neater and more organized!

Pendo New Location

Cable Concepts has recently been wiring the new location for Pendo in Downtown Raleigh. The company will be taking over 3 floors in the Wells Fargo Capitol Center on Fayetteville Street, which will have a capacity of 400 people once completed.

We ran OM3 10 gig fiber to connect each floor to the server room. Our techs also ran Cat 6 structured cable to wire computers, printers, phones, and wireless access points. The job is estimated to be completed around February of 2018.

New North Raleigh Police Department Building

Cable Concepts recently finished a structured cabling installation for the Raleigh Police Department in North Raleigh. The project included installing the structured cabling for 450 computers and and phones, setting up an MDF with a 14 server rack, running a fiber optic backbone cable to two remote telco closets, and running voice and video cable to 14 detective offices.

Another awesome job by our techs!

Community Care of North Carolina Emergency Paging System Install

Cable Concepts recently finished an emergency paging system installation for Community Care of North Carolina in Raleigh, NC near Rex Hospital off of Blue Ridge Road.

On their three floors, our techs installed Valcom speakers in all hallways, common areas, and cubicles to enable emergency overhead paging. All speakers were tied into their existing VoIP phone system. We enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff and hope to do more work for them in the future.

Awesome work, techs!

Cary Orthopaedics Structured Cabling

Cary Orthopaedics has been a good customer of ours through the years; from fiber runs to category 6 cable pulls to VOIP phone installation, we’ve done some great work at their locations. We pulled all new structured cabling for their new clinic in Morrisville; which provides not only orthopaedic services, but also spine surgery and rehabilitation and physical therapy for their patients.  In the last month, we pulled category 6 cable for a nurse’s station at their Cary location which connected their computers, network printers, scanners, and wireless access points.

We enjoy doing work for Cary Orthopaedics and hope to do more for them in the future.

Thanks to our techs for their continued hard work!

Recent Wilmington Cabling Jobs

Cable Concepts recently completed a category 6 structured cabling job for the Novella Satellite Office in Wilmington, NC. Our team finished a server room build out with data racks. We also wired two conference rooms in their building.

Later that month, Cable Concepts completed a job for McKim & Creed (also located in Wilmington, NC). We conducted a category 6 structured cabling upgrade for a new VOIP phone system and wired one conference room.

Fun fact:  the building that McKim & Creed now occupies was once a J.C. Penney Department store built in 1895!

Great work on the behalf of the Cable Concepts techs!
